Victory Baptist Church is an active church offering several outreaches to our community. Service for God has never been based on a grudging sense of duty or an unwilling heart – it should be the practical result of an honest love for God. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and been born again, it is our hope that you have a servant’s heart for God.

Consider what Moses told Israel, as the nation stood on the banks of the Jordan River, ready to inherit the land God had promised their father Abraham so long ago (Deuteronomy 6:20-25);

20 And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you? 21 Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand: 22 And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: 23 And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers. 24 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. 25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

Moses called Israel to obey the law because they loved God, not out of fear. The Apostle Paul had the same idea when he told his young disciple Titus to teach people how to live proper Christian lives (Titus 2:11-14);

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
